SLC-AD safety grating is a design that adopts the most advanced international functional safety concepts and technologies, in accordance with PLe, SIL3 mechanical safety level, safety grating in accordance with EN/IEC 61496-1/-2 Type4 safety level. Providing customers with a safe workplace has the following advantages.

TYPE4 safety level

SLC-AD complies with ISO13849-1, Cat. 4 category, and reaches the PLe safety level; 

Complies with IEC/EN62061 and IEC/EN 61508 SIL3 safety levels;

Complies with Type4 safety light curtain requirements based on EN/IEC 61496-1/-2 and GB/T 19436-1/-2。

Blind spot free design

SLC-AD has no blind spots in the entire grating protection area, suitable for structurally restricted stress, in multiple sets When L-shaped or U-shapedcombinations are applied, it is easy to construct a fully enclosed blind spot protection area.

Multiple cascades

SLC-AD can achieve up to 3 sets of grating cascade combinations. Effectively preventing multiple sets of gratings through cascading combinations.

The mutual interference between them, combined with the above blind spot design characteristics, makes it easy to achieve reliable and stable operation of multiple sets of L-shaped or U-shaped combination protection.

Optional designs for optical synchronization and line synchronization

Optical synchronization and line synchronization have their own advantages and disadvantages: when using optical synchronization, the transmission and reception can be independently powered,Convenient wiring;When synchronizing the mining line,It can effectively prevent synchronous light from being disturbed by other environmental light sources,Stable and reliable.SLC-AD can achieve optical synchronization and line synchronization, and different synchronization methods can be selected according to the on-site situation

Redundant OSSD output with fault diagnosis

In order to pursue better security in the output, dual independent redundant outputs were adopted,Improve the security performance of the system,It can directly drive safety relays or safety PLCs (in order to meet the requirements of safety level standards, please use the correct number of control outputs to form a system).

The unique dual OSSD circuit has a circuit self diagnostic function, which forcibly turns off the output in a short periodic pulse (without affecting the operation). If a turn off pulse is generated, if the host does not detect a certain feedback turn off pulse within a periodically determined time, the system will stop outputting.

Multiple optional functions for flexible and convenient settings

The SLC-AD safety light curtain can be easily configured with interlocking reset, external EDM, bypass and override, as well as fixed and floating shielding functions through PC software. Qualified manual operators can easily configure functions based on on-site usage.

External relay contact monitoring (EDM) function

When the output signal of the safety light curtain is connected to the relay/contactor equipment of the customer, in order to ensure the safety of the entire system, the SLC-AD safety light curtain monitors the "external relay contact status" to prevent the loss of safety protection function caused by external relay adhesion failure.

Interlocking and reset functions

The grating has optional interlocking and reset functions, which can easily achievemanual reset and manual reset.

Bypass and override functions

The grating has optional bypass and override functions, which can achieve short-term shielding of the grating under specific conditions without affecting  machine operation.

Fixed shielding and floating shielding

The grating has both fixed shielding and floating shielding functions that can be

selected and set.

Fixed shielding should be used for special areas with obstructions.

Floating shielding should be used to distinguish individual components. Floating shielding can also be applied to scenarios where a piece of equipment continues to pass through, without triggering a shutdown. The shutdown is only triggered when  a piece of equipment is located in the protection area, so as to effectively continue  working without reducing personal safety protection.
