The SLC long-distance safety light curtain has an OSSD output self-diagnostic function. During the normal energization of the OSSD output of the light curtain, the internal control timing control unit of the light curtain periodically and actively turns off the OSSD1 and OSSD2 outputs in sequence. During a short period of time when OSSD1 or OSSD2 is switched off, the light curtain's internal timing control unit detects whether the OSSD1 or OSSD2 level has flipped, and if it has, the corresponding OSSD switch is in normal operation; if the OSSD has not been detected to have flipped, then a fault has been created in the corresponding OSSD, and the system switches off the two OSSDs immediately, with a "d" displayed on the receiving grating digital display. If the OSSD is not detected as having flipped, the corresponding OSSD has failed and the system will immediately shut down both OSSDs, at which point the receiver grating digitizer will display "d." or "H." to ensure functional safety. Therefore, when the load connected to the SLC light curtain is a PLC or a fast intelligent device with MCU control, it is necessary to filter out the self-test pulse in the program.
